System Requirements

Q. What system requirements and programs do I need to use the VuVista Suite?

A. You must have Java and Flash 10 installed on your computer to create and view VuVista Tours. You can download your free copy of Java and Flash at the following websites:

Flash- http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/

System requirements to build tours:

PC:

Windows XP, Vista or Windows 7

Internet Explorer 7 or 8, (other browsers supported however they’re missing features like stitching)

Java

Flash10 or higher

Internet Access

MAC:

OSX or above

Safari

Internet Access

A modern Internet browser like: Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari, GoogleChrome, etc.

Q. What is the acceptable Browser to Use?

A. We’re IE 7 and 8 compatible however the changes from 6-7 were minimal so it should continue to work although it’s not been rigorously tested.

Compatibly view shouldn’t be required on IE8,

Firefox does work for building a tour; however it’s limited to the “older” up loader. So there is no stitching, no edit button, and no rotate button.

When it comes to the Mac make sure to let them know to use Safari as the acceptable browser although technically FireFox and IE6 (If they can find it) would work on Mac as well.

Q. I have a Mac, can I use VuVista?

A. Yes, you can build and upload images for your tour but NOT able to stitch panoramas using the Mac. You will need to have a Mac with a dual core processor that has Boot Camp or Parallels software along with a copy of windows XP. You will then be able to stitch panoramas from the PC side of your Mac.

Q. Can I use Firefox as a browser?

A. Firefox does work for building a tour however it’s limited to the “older” uploader. So there is no stitching, no edit button, no rotate button just like on Safari and Mac. You can view the tours with Firefox, as there is no known problem found at this time and if you have any issues, it is because you do not have Java; Flash 9 or 10 installed on your computer.
